Welcome to Port Clinton, OH!
Located on the North Shore of Lake Erie, Port Clinton offers a variety of historical and outdoor attractions for visitors to enjoy. The town holds the title of Walleye Capital of the World, a nod to the myriad of fishing opportunities that the Great Lakes present. The name has also inspired an annual Walleye Festival that features fishing, live entertainment and food concessions. Ferry transportation is available in the area, with the Jet Express and the Miller Boat Line both servicing the North Shore. A number of parks and gardens in the area allow visitors venues for birdwatching, picnicking and other outdoor activities. During the warmer months, the African Safari Wildlife Park allows visitors to drive through and see exotic animals native to Africa, including warthogs, zebras and more.
